Oscar Zuffada was born and raised in a small city near Milan in Italy, which is close to border of Piedmont. Although he had received bachelor degree in history of Arts, he fell in love with wine and had great passion for it, not only because of his experiences of working in restaurants in his neighborhood, but also due to his apprenticeship of working in a small winery in Oltrepo Pavese Area, where he learned all the processes of wine-making.
After accomplishing two courses in AIS, authorized by Italian Sommelier Association, he moved to London for pursuing the WSET system in order to enrich his knowledge in wine. These certificates had qualified him to get a promotion from junior sommelier to advanced sommelier in Benares Restaurant, a one-star Michelin restaurant with over 600 global labels on the wine list.
With this experience in town and a Certificate of Hospitality Management by Cornell University, Oscar has furtherly stepped into the luxury hotel industry. He has been through the position of sommelier, group sommelier, restaurant manager and wine buyer in most of the prestigious hotel brands such as Six Senses, Mandarin Oriental, Four Season and Aman.
Oscar has worked in London, Maldives, Hong Kong, Caribbean and currently is the Food & Beverage manager in Amanyangyun Resort in Shanghai.
