Soalheiro, which in Portuguese means Sunny Place, was the name of the first vineyard continuous of Alvarinho planted in Melgaço in 1974 – a few years later, in 1982, the family innovated again and at the Garage was born the first brand of Alvarinho in Melgaço.

Since then, the tradition of innovation of Soalheiro has constantly
reinvented with a focus on creating internationally awarded wines and on the sustainability of the territory.
