Arnaud Bardary MS
Born in Lons le Saunier in Jura, France. From producing wine under the iconic area of Chateau Chalon, as running their own restaurants, I am the 5th generation in the family working in the food and beverage industry. I started my studies in hospitality in Le Mans, then Nice and finished combining my passion for wine studying an extra year in Toulouse as a Sommelier.
At this time I had the chance to come in England for a job experience, where I discovered the huge international wine market that exist in the country. After few harvest and vinification in Gaillac and Pernand Vergelesses I headed to Hotel du Vin in UK where I meet few people who guided me through my professional experiences as my studies.
I then took the opportunity to go to Spain for a year and came back to London, then entered competitions and wine related exams.I have been working in renowned Michelin Star restaurants. Managing the wine program of over 25 restaurants group and finally passed in 2015 the Master Sommelier Diploma. I am now with Watson’s Wine as Head of Wholesale in Hong Kong.

Meet our judges
The China Wine Competition judges are carefully selected by us and include Master Sommeliers, Top Sommeliers, On-Trade Wine Buyers and Wine Directors of China who all serve or buy wine for their business and are involved in developing wine lists.
The mission and philosophy of the China Wine Competition is to award wines that make a great addition to restaurants wine menus and by the glass programs. The judges are top sommeliers and on-trade wine buyers from China who understands the chinese palate.
These judges are here to highlight top wines the Chinese consumers can drink in restaurants, hotels, bars and clubs.
