They say we are “macanes”—that’s how people in the surrounding villages know those of us from San Vicente de la Sonsierra. They also call us “renegades” because we renounced the Kingdom of Castile in favor of the Kingdom of Navarre. The fact is, the history of our village has shaped the character of our ancestors and our own: fighters, nonconformists, pioneers, different, unique…

Our parents and grandparents knew that alone they could not achieve great things, but together they could. So one fine day, back in 1961, they came up with the brilliant idea of pooling their vineyards to make a dream come true: creating a cooperative to produce their own wines.

And so our story began. After several generations cultivating our own vineyards with practices perfected over time, we have succeeded in making authentic wines with a distinct identity—a true reflection of the landscape and the centuries-old winemaking tradition of our land.
