Austin (Xiaohan) Zhang

Sales Director, Zachys Fine Wine, Beijing

Xiaohan Zhang is the China Sales Director of Zachys, and he takes care of the business development in China. Previously he worked for Christie’s as Auctioneer and Associate Vice President in wine department.

He graduated from China Agriculture University with a bachelor and master’s degree in Viticulture and Enology, and is now sitting the Master of Wine exams.

He writes for various wine and auction media in China, including Financial Times, RVF, GQ, Artron and Sina. He judges regularly for major wine competitions and also lectures at various institutes and academies.

The China Wine Competition judges are carefully selected by us and include Master Sommeliers, Top Sommeliers, On-Trade Wine Buyers and Wine Directors of China who all serve or buy wine for their business and are involved in developing wine lists.

The mission and philosophy of the China Wine Competition is to award wines that make a great addition to restaurants wine menus and by the glass programs. The judges are top sommeliers and on-trade wine buyers from China who understands the chinese palate.

These judges are here to highlight top wines the Chinese consumers can drink in restaurants, hotels, bars and clubs.
