Owing to the impact of Covid-19, a number of trade events taking place this spring have been postponed. Others, however, are still on. Here are the main events that you should keep marked in your diary.

  1. TOEwine 2020

18-20 September, Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center, Shenzhen

Arriving at its third edition this year, TOEwine, an abbreviation of ‘Taste of Excellence’, aims to promote innovative wine styles to consumers in China. Last year, the show received 14,456 visitors, covering the premium catering industry and high-end consumers from corporations and premium clubs.

  1. Shanghai International Wine and Spirits Exhibition

20-22 October 2020 At Shanghai - National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC)

As one of the most professional purchasing fairs in the Chinese import wine industry, Super Wine has successfully held tens of editions in Shanghai with an exhibition area of more than 150,000 sq m,which has accumulated hundreds of thousands of first-rank wine suppliers and professional buyers.

21-23 October, Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center, Shanghai

Following the success of its first edition in 2019, Vinexpo Shanghai returns this year as a flagship event in China’s wine and spirits calendar. Last year the event showcased the 260 exhibitors from 40 different regions, alongside high-level tastings and conferences.

5-7 November 2020

Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair offers the opportunity for exhibitors of wine, spirits and beer to gauge Asian tastes as well as to test consumer reactions to new products. Visitors can source new products, find new suppliers and take in the latest market trends.

  1. Wine to Asia 2020

9-11 November, Shenzhen Trade Fair Complex, Shenzhen

Hosted by Vinitaly in partnership with Pacco Communication, the co-organiser of The China Food & Drinks Fair (CFDF), Wine to Asia is a new show aimed at professional Asian buyers. Based on Vinitaly's widely recognised exposure in China, the show hopes to build an all-Italian style model of promotion in Asia. The event is expecting the attendance of 400 exhibitors in the start-up stage.

10-12 November 2020 Shanghai New International Expo Center, Shanghai

The established brand is staging its seventh edition in Shanghai again this autumn. Last year, the three-day event welcomed 820 established wine producers and distributors from 37 countries with a 10% increase in exhibition space. The event recorded an attendance of 20,640, reflecting an increase in the number of trade visitors by 9%.

  1. World Bulk Wine Exhibition

27-28 May 2021 Yantai International Expo Center, Yantai, China

World bulk wine exhibition Asia wants to become the commercial meeting point between international producers and importers from China that needs to meet the huge demand for wine that is still growing by consumers in this country.

The 2025 China Wine Competition is set to happen in Hong Kong in October 2025. Submission now open for International and China wineries.
