Arthur Cui

Sommelier at the Midtown Shangri-La Hangzhou

Arthur Cui, a wine sommelier with an experience of four years, residing in Hangzhou city. Currently working for Midtown Shangri-La Hangzhou as a wine sommelier. His responsibilities include being in charge of the entirety of the hotel wine program, brewery/bar, restaurant, and creating new wine lists and keeping them up to date. Arthur has also worked as a Head Bartender at Four Seasons Beijing , with all responsibilities under him including inventory, staff check-up, opening & closing of bar and developing a bar standard. He’s previously also worked for Four Seasons Tianjin as bartender.

Arthur graduated from University of East food Institute, majoring in Hotel Management. He also holds a certificate for WSET Level 2 SCAE(Interdiction to coffee) National Senior Bartender Senior Chinese cook Senior Public nutritionist, and has been awarded the champion of First FHC latte art competition.

The mission and philosophy of the China Wine Competition is to award wines that make a great addition to restaurants wine menus and by the glass programs. The judges are top sommeliers and on-trade wine buyers from China who understands the chinese palate.

These judges are here to highlight top wines the Chinese consumers can drink in restaurants, hotels, bars and clubs.
